Can You Prove It?

The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ

God is not the author of confusion. He is the publisher of truth, and order. His grand designs do not allow for chaos; this is man made. Putting our trust in God will allow us to find His truth, and eventually leads us back to His presence. Where do we find that truth in such a perplexed world?

For centuries, men have pondered philosophies and theories on religion and God. Many people have searched long and hard to try and find the truth that God would have them follow. This seeking for truth is a genuine search, but often leads to a disappointing end. In the year 1820, that quest for truth was resolved by one of the most significant events in the history of the world.

One young boy, Joseph Smith, was seeking for God's truth and true church. Young Joseph came across a Bible scripture in James 1:5; "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God...". With the flame of his faith burning strong, and determination in his heart; this young boy said a humble prayer that led him to see God the Father and Jesus Christ. They called him as a Prophet and instructed Him to restore Christ's original Church to the earth.

The Evidence

God recognised that many people would not believe in such an event, so in due course He led Joseph to find ancient records written on gold plates which were buried in a hill. On these plates was the history of an ancient civilisation. These people believed in God wanted to serve Him. Their dealings with God, and the history of the people were recorded by Prophets and passed down to chosen servants of God. These teachings apply to our day and guide us to the path of eternal life.

The Book of Mormon is true, and is the evidence that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's Kingdom on the earth once more. It teaches and testifies of Christ, which is central to its purpose. In the introduction to The Book of Mormon, it gives a promise to all those who sincerely desire to know the truth.
"We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost. (See Moroni 10:3–5.)
For years, I wanted to really know what the truth was. Where did I come from? Why was I here? Where was I going? Many people tried to answer that question, but it never sat right. After reading The Book of Mormon, and praying to God to know if it was true, He answered my prayers and confirmed that this is His truth.

The Book of Mormon changed my life, this is the reason I am serving as a full time missionary and representative of Jesus Christ. I have seen how it has changed the lives of myself and others, and I want to share this with everyone. I can offer you a promise that if you read this book, and sincerely ask God with real intent (meaning you are willing act on the answer you receive), He will manifest the truth of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost. And it is by the power of the Holy Ghost that you will know the truth of all things.
